Georgian College thanks community partner Innovative Automation

Georgian College in Barrie has benefitted tremendously from the ongoing partnership and support from Innovative Automation. After receiving a $250,000 donation in 2018, members of Georgian College wanted to express their gratitude.

In addition to financial support, Stephen Loftus, President of Innovative Automation, along with co-owners Michael Lalonde and Matthew Setterington find a quarter of their employees through the Georgian engineering program – A mutual benefit for both the students and the business.

Elaine Murray of Georgian College spoke about the opportunity provided by Innovative Automation for students, “Through their support, Georgian has created a stimulating environment to deliver quality-rich, cutting-edge curriculum.” She went on to say, “These classroom learning experiences will prepare our students to hit the ground running, when they start their co-op placements and when they graduate and pursue meaningful careers.”

To express their appreciation for this beneficial partnership, Georgian College dedicated the CAD/GIS lab as the Innovative Automation room.
